Steps to Join the Vecina Community
We are delighted that you are considering Vecina Community School for your family—a learning community where students are nurtured to become confident, creative, and compassionate individuals who are prepared to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic and ever-changing world.
We are intentionally launching as a very small, pilot program for the 2026-2027 school year. At this moment, we are committed to aligning with families who resonate deeply with our vision and are interested in an unparalleled, bilingual, inquiry-based and personalized educational experience for their child.
Our founders have 20+ years combined in education spanning PreK-5th grades in dual language and Montessori schools across Texas.
We seek to align with families who are committed to reimagining school with us, to co-creating a beautiful, connected community where children feel loved, valued and inspired to learn…for life!
As both mothers and educators, we know it takes a village, and we’re thrilled you are considering this one!
Step ONE
This form takes about 5 minutes and gives us a glimpse of your child to inform our conversation in Step Two!
Step TWO
While our school is not yet set up for tours, we invite you to find a time to connect with us either Google Meet or in person. We apologize for the limited time availabilities. We are both still full-time classroom teaching (and moms!)
Step THREE
This application form helps us understand your child, your family, and whether our school is the right mutual fit. Vecina is a small, bilingual (Spanish–English), relationship-centered learning community. We are intentional in building a community that is aligned, collaborative, and whole-child centered.
We take applications very seriously, as they provide an opportunity to get to know your child and your family. We encourage you to answer each question as fully and honestly as possible.
We encourage families to take the time to research our school before completing the application, ensuring that responses are thoughtful, thorough, and reflective of your child and family.
Step FOUR
Decision will be made within two weeks of receiving application and application fee.
