Steps to Join the Vecina Community

We are delighted that you are considering Vecina Community School for your family—a learning community where students are nurtured to become confident, creative, and compassionate individuals who are prepared to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic and ever-changing world.

We are intentionally launching as a very small, pilot program for the 2026-2027 school year. At this moment, we are committed to aligning with families who resonate deeply with our vision and are interested in an unparalleled, bilingual, inquiry-based and personalized educational experience for their child.

Our founders have 20+ years combined in education spanning PreK-5th grades in dual language and Montessori schools across Texas, as well as homeschooling.

We seek to align with families who are committed to reimagining school alongside us, to co-creating a beautiful, connected community where children feel loved, valued and inspired to learn…for life!

As both mothers and educators, we know it takes a village, and we’re thrilled you are considering this one.

Step ONE

This application form helps us understand your child, your family, and whether our school is the right mutual fit.

Vecina is a small, bilingual (Spanish–English), relationship-centered learning community. We are intentional in building a community that is aligned, collaborative, and whole-child centered.

We take applications very seriously, as they provide an opportunity to get to know your child and your family. We encourage you to answer each question as fully and honestly as possible.

We encourage families to take the time to research our school before completing the application, ensuring that responses are thoughtful, thorough, and reflective of your child and family.

Please scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click the link to access the payment portal for the $150 application fee.

Step TWO

We will contact you after you've submitted the application and fee and will assign your child to a time block on a Demo Day.

Please keep and January 4 or January 18 (for the 2027-2028 school year) as Demo Days on your calendar.

Demo Day is an opportunity for your child to spend time with us while our current students are not in session.

This allows us to get to know your child more personally, introduce them to the Vecina experience, and make sure our program is a strong fit for their needs, interests, and learning style.

Step THREE

Admissions decisions are made and emailed by February 16, 2027.

If your child is offered a place at Vecina, you will have five days from the date of acceptance to complete the enrollment process. Please be prepared to submit the following:

  • Signed enrollment contract: All required parents or guardians will receive the contract through DocuSign for electronic signature.

  • $500 enrollment deposit: An invoice will be sent through QuickBooks.

  • Current vaccination records: Please request an updated record from your child’s pediatrician in advance (or affidavit of exemption). All required vaccinations must be current before the first day of school.

  • Completed enrollment and health forms: General enrollment information will be collected through DocuSign.
