Amanda Munden is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Vecina Community School, where she leads the school's vision and community partnerships. With more than 15 years of experience in child development and bilingual education, she has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grades across Austin ISD, Houston ISD, and Montessori settings. Amanda earned her B.A. in Applied Human Learning with EC–6 Bilingual Education from The University of Texas at Austin and is passionate about social-emotional learning, writing, and project-based experiences that inspire curiosity, purpose, and joy.

As an educator and school founder, Amanda is committed to building a learning community where childhood is protected, families are deeply connected, and students grow into thoughtful, compassionate leaders. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, camping, yoga, writing, photography, classic films, and spending time with her family and their many animals.

Each summer, she leads farm-to-table cooking camps that help children connect with food, culture, and one another.
